Galaxy Shoes: A Process
Its been a couple of months since my business started, so I thought I'd share the process behind creating my Galaxy 11s.
(I was going to do the Origin 20s, but its literally just a drawing of a dragon, so not too much explanation needed there)
First, I began arranging my arsenal of paints and brushes:

I had painted a few galaxies a couple of years ago so for some reason, after a few seemingly cool practice paintings, I jumped right in.

I cannot emphasize how much of a mistake this was. Ugh I mean look at this!

Lucky for you guys, I'm not the kind of person to give up so easily (also, I test out my designs on paper more now). I took a break, watching some videos and finding some references for this shoe. I then attacked it with a new method. Rather than using large brushstrokes, I used a special textured cloth to create a more of that galaxy look. I used a wet brush to create hundred of tiny stars, then used a larger brush for bigger stars.

My customer really liked how the shoe came out! Her review will be up soon on my new reviews page, which I am currently working on.
